4th April 2013

I hope you all have had a lovely Easter; we certainly have here…too many chocolate eggs!

So this morning Jamie has ordered a couple of 50 cal paintball guns (low impact paintball guns) to try out, let’s hope he isn’t testing them out on me!! This is fairly new technology in the paintball world so we thought we should have a look.

We have a great weekend lined up and at last I think the weather is looking slightly better, maybe spring is finally here.

Some of you who have been here recently might have noticed a few obstacles dotted about the place, this is because again we hosted the X Runner 10k race in March. It was a slightly muddy day but it all added to the fun, check out a few of the pics I have put on here (see below).

We recently ran a Facebook competition to win 5 bronze paintball packages, the lucky winner was Mark Allen, so congratulations Mark. For anyone you who hasn’t liked us on Facebook yet please click here, we post pictures of your day, competitions, latest news and more.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, for those of you who are coming here we are looking forward to seeing you!

Take care,

Davina and the Wild Park Team

Happy New Year.

Well the weather has been something of a topic recently and especially here at Wild Park because it has been so much fun!

We have had groups booking in especially because of the snow and the Wild Park team seem to be having increasingly longer lunch breaks having snow ball fights, quad biking in the snow and also skiing! Check out our Facebook page (Wild Park Derbyshire) for photos and videos.

As another year starts I would like to thank everyone that has visited us in 2012 and everyone who has already booked for 2013. We are looking forward to a great 2013 with some exciting plans being bounced around, so watch this space.

During 2012 we had a great time lots of new faces and of course lots of groups who come on a regular basis. We also welcomed some new schools during activities week which was one of our busiest to date and super fun the whole team were brilliant!

Jamie Else tied the knot…twice! Yes to the same lady, the second wedding was in Greece (where his wife Thea is from) and they left us in charge!! I’d like to think they relaxed but I’m not 100% sure.

We also experienced some interesting weather mainly RAIN! Quad bikers arrived clean and went home looking like people covered in melted chocolate! The showers were a very welcome sight, but I am assured they absolutely LOVED it.

After a record year we are looking forward to an even better one and we look forward to seeing new and old customers in come what may…snow, rain and sunshine, whatever we guarantee fun!

Halloween at Wild Park

This year the team at Wild Park decided to get into the spirit of all things spooky ready for Halloween. We put together a Halloween holiday special paintball session over the half term for anyone that dared!

We also offered an extra 50 balls for anyone that dared come in fancy dress….

The staff also dressed up, Kelly was nominated best dressed but Jamie wasn’t far behind take a look…

Plenty of people came in fancy dress including a ghost buster, zombie, and a tiger!

Thanks to everyone that came to Wild Park. Looking forward to seeing you at the next one Thursday 27th December. Maybe it will be snowy!!

15th October 2012

Last Friday not only did the sun shine but our new Laser Tag guns arrived.

The Wild Park team had the Friday feeling and thought that there was no better way to make sure the guns were working properly than to try them ourselves.

We put on the jackets, programmed in the laser guns, strategically picked teams and used Wild Park as our test game zone.

The conference room, garden, work shed and fields became our play ground.

Team Jamie, Ryan and Andy started off running out of the starting point (reception) at full pelt trying to get a head start, while team Jody, Kim and Davina strategically planned their attack.

After a drive by, some heavy gunfire across the car park and a few casualties team Jody, Davina and Kim WON!

We then came the conclusion that, yes the new laser guns definitely work and are ok for the public to use!!

Since then we have had quite a few laser tag groups use the new guns and they have worked a treat.

Next a few new paintball guns are on their way…..watch this space!

Monday Mornings at Wild Park

Most people dread Monday mornings, it always feels a bit difficult getting back into work after a weekend.

At Wild Park Monday mornings consist of a lot of prep for the week ahead, including cleaning, updating the website from the weekend, lots of phone calls and of course still taking out groups for Quad trekking, Paintballing and Laser Tag.

On Monday’s the best part of the day for us are the comments we receive.

A lovely lady Rebecca Swindell came paintballing on Saturday 1st September and she took the time to write in…

“ Hi All,

I brought a party of 6 12 year olds today for paintballing. The day has been fantastic, the safety precautions second to none, no over charging or trying to sell food or photos. I felt totally at ease providing my own refreshments and the group photos were for free and I can down load as many copies as I want. Alton towers and many other attractions ought to learn from you. ”

So on a Monday morning when we are playing a bit of catch up from the weekend this is what puts a smile on our faces!

Thank you Rebecca and everyone else that writes in.

May 2012

What a fantastic year we are having the staff have been fantastic, hard working so professional and always entertaining. We have had a real cross section of people through the door, John Port School for an evening game, thanks guys! Rolls Royce has also been with a very large group, in fact if you want to know how we are doing look at the comments page.

Thank you, to all who wrote to thank us! It really is appreciated, especially for the staff. All the comments are dated and they all say the same underlying theme which is that they had a fabulous time and we are professional, polite and value for money.

It is a very competitive market and it is difficult to explain to potential customers why we are better than most other venues in the country. It’s not what you pay at the beginning it’s what you have paid at the end and what a fantastic day. Our mission statement is TO BE THE BEST.

We look forward to seeing you all soon in what looks like a very busy May.

The Wild Park Team
